This work originally started in my final year at Art School and continues to develop; no two shells are the same. It has become my signature work and has been used in a large public art work.

Press moulded shells made with porcelain paper clay and impressed with native New Zealand fern fronds grown in my garden. They are fired upside down, in an electric kiln, using a lithium base glaze to promote colour response.

The shells are displayed on acrylic plastic cradles and engraved with signature, title and date.
