Specialised Tertiary Diploma (Level 5 & 6)

The Otago Polytechnic Diploma is for anyone interested in condensing their learning in ceramics. It has a focus on skills and techniques with creative thinking, and a strong emphasis on exploration and experimentation.

The studio paper for Otago Polytechnics NZQA Diploma in Arts and Design in Ceramics is now based at Ōtaki Pottery Club.

Jennifer Turnbull is supervisor and tutor in Ōtaki. Jenny has been tutoring the Diploma for 17 years.

The Studio paper also offers workshops, visiting ceramic artists and trips to add variety to the learning experience.

Other papers for the Diploma are delivered online from Otago, they are Visual Language, Drawing, Art/Craft Theory & History and Glaze Theory & Practical.
