This Monday class is a follow on from Beginners Wheel Class. Students need to have some experience or have completed a year or more of the beginner’s classes and show confidence and an interest in furthering their skills.

In this class Jennifer designs a separate challenge for each term, based around a collection of wheel throwing skills.

Students are expected to follow a line of inquiry, gathering ideas, drawings and recording information to support their chosen interest within the challenge.

At the end of each term the student is asked to present their work plus visual diaries/workbooks to the class and get helpful feedback.

The ideas behind these challenges is for the student to not only develop a stronger set of wheel throwing skills, but to look at developing a background to support their ideas and strengthen personal styles.

Classes are small with individual help and mentoring and a combination of demonstration and independent work.

Also provided is instruction in glazing testing and application.
